Identification
The Identification Bureau is staffed by our crime scene specialists. Unlike popular television shows where evidence is processed in fifteen minutes, crime scene analysis and evidence collection is a time consuming process that requires highly developed observation and organizational skills. The Detectives in this Bureau respond to crime scenes to collect evidence ranging from fingerprints to firearms. They are also responsible for the safeguarding of property and evidence entrusted to our care. The Identification Bureau also handles all firearms applications.
Finger Printing
The Sayreville Police Department provides fingerprinting service for Borough Residents Only (proof of residence is required). We can only provide this service for employment requirements that DO NOT require electronic fingerprinting. If you require fingerprinting services for any other reason New Jersey requires that you contact Sagem Morpho. We apologize for this inconvenience.
If your fingerprint requirements meet these guidelines fingerprinting services are available at the Public Safety Complex by appointment. Please contact the ID Division at 732-727-4444 to schedule. Fingerprinting services are provided for Sayreville Residents Only.
